The prices of the currencies circulating in Cuba have reached surprising values in recent sessions.

One of them, the MLC (Freely Convertible Currency), has remained quite stable in its value for about a month, always increasing, but much more discreetly than the dollar and the euro.

Looking at its behavior since the beginning of the month, we see how it has increased its value by 10 CUP in just 13 days.

It increases gradually, but steadily, and when it seems that it is going to stabilize, a new increase looms, as is happening now.

Since February 10, it has maintained this same price, however, it is already estimated that its value could increase by up to 3 more pesos. In fact, it has already started to be traded at 301 and 302 in some cases, while others strive to keep it above 290 CUP.

Price of the Euro in Cuba today, February 13, 2024

The Euro could almost be given the title of Knight in Cuba as its value shoots it to the highest level of quotation among the currencies that circulate in the country today.

The European currency woke up today at 305 CUP to one in the Cuban informal market.

In just 13 days, it has increased its value by 15 CUP, according to the prices recorded each day. In some, it remains the same and then increases by five pesos, then two, then again stable, and then reaches the current value since February 11.

Forecasts do not predict any further increase, but it would be necessary to be very attentive as its general trend continues to be sustained growth.

Value of the MLC in Cuba today, February 13, 2024

The Freely Convertible Currency in Cuba is the most stable of all, as for the eighth consecutive day it woke up with a price of 260 CUP to one.

It is also worth mentioning that in this case, the trend has been towards an increase, but it has been relatively smaller than the other two currencies, increasing only 5 CUP since the beginning of February.

Buying and selling operations vary their values in social media groups.

Sales can vary at 250 if it is in cash and for 100 MLC, and in the case of transfers to magnetic cards, the value is seen at 255 to one, although in some cases those interested in selling position it at the reference value, i.e., 160 CUP.
