The financial assistance from stimulus checks granted in the United States provides relief to thousands of families benefiting from this state initiative.

Which U.S. states will be receiving stimulus checks this May?
The states that will issue their stimulus checks for the upcoming month include:

  • Alaska
  • California
  • Michigan

  • Washington

Details of the stimulus checks in each state:

According to the official information provided by Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend, “2023 dividend applications (and previous years) in ‘Eligible-Not Paid’ status as of May 8, 2024, will be distributed on May 16, 2024.”

California
Financial aids in California are established in two of its cities: ZIP 93706 in southwest Fresno, and ZIP 93234 in the city of Huron, as these are the areas with the highest poverty rates in Fresno County.

It is important to note that the application period opened on March 15 and will be available until Wednesday, May 15, 2024. This financial assistance is part of the Advancing Fresno County Guaranteed Income basic income program.

The assistance payments are a fixed amount of $500 per month for 12 months, totaling $6,000. Thus, next May, $500 will be credited to those enrolled.

Payments are expected to be executed during the second half of May to a total of 150 families.

Michigan

The economic stimuli are part of the Guaranteed Income to Grow program, which aims to combat wage inequities faced by many small business owners.

Payment Amount:
The payment benefit sets a maximum of $528 for those enrolled in the program whose incomes do not exceed 225 percent of the federal poverty threshold.

Payment Date:
Payment is anticipated around mid-May to a limited number of entrepreneurs in Ann Arbor.

Payment Amount:
The benefit amount is $500 per month for an 18-month period, summing to a total of $9,000 at the end of assistance.

Texas

With funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, the initiative aims to address and confront economic inequality in an effort to reduce poverty levels in the city.

Payment Amount:
Monthly payments of $500 are estimated, so the month of May contemplates this figure, which will be credited over an eighteen-month period for a total of $9,000.

Washington
As economic balm for many families in Tacoma, the stimulus checks to be granted in this locality are part of a guaranteed income program assisting several households to achieve a stable financial base.
