New Hotel Management: Blue Diamond from Canada in Charge of Hotels in Holguín

Three hotels in Holguín will be marketed by the Canadian hotel chain Blue Diamond, as part of an integrated complex under the Mystique Saratoga brand.

New Mystique Saratoga Brand Integration

The new brand integrates the Hotel Encanto Saratoga, Esmeralda, and Caballeriza, now grouped under the management of the Canadian chain, which also includes the tour operator Sunwing and WestJet as its own airline.

The initiative aims to create a high-standard boutique complex, where visitors have quality experiences considering a variety of factors such as offers, welcome, atmosphere, service, and feel a familiar treatment during their stay.

Boosting Tourism in Holguín

This was explained by Yander Rodríguez Santana, general director of Hoteles E Holguín Saratoga, Esmeralda, and Caballeriza, who added that the Mystique brand should also integrate the Club Amigo Atlántico Guardalavaca hotel, specifically the first one located in that eastern beach area, along with the bungalows of that complex.

With Sunwing and Westjet as part of the Blue Diamond consortium, plus travel agencies, it is expected to ensure a flow of visitors all year round, to boost tourist activity in the city of Holguín and favor cultural exchange.

Expansion Plans on Yaraguanal Beach

In Yaraguanal beach, there is also a plan to open a hotel in 2024 as part of the push for tourism on the northeastern coast of Holguín. The facility will have 600 rooms, and another will be inaugurated in Ramón Antilla, where there are constructive conditions for Holguín to consolidate itself as one of the reference destinations of the Antillean island.

Blue Diamond’s Caribbean and Global Presence

The Canadian chain, which operates the Inglatera hotel in Havana, the oldest on the island, also offers options for all ages in countries such as Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, among others, where it has more than 13,000 rooms.

Blue Diamond, considered the hotel company with the most expansion and dynamism in the Caribbean, manages units in beach areas of the island such as Varadero, Cayo Guillermo, Cayo Santa María, Cayo Largo del Sur.

In Havana and Jibacoa, the company also manages hotels and is positioned as the second most important foreign company of its kind in the country, where it has more than 8,000 rooms.
